Adam Hess (Class of 2017)
Adam Hess was a versatile guard/forward and one of the most productive all-around players in Westlake Basketball history. A three-year varsity contributor, he finished his career ranked among the program’s all-time leaders in scoring (975 points, 8th), single-season scoring (508 points, 7th), three-pointers made in a season (73), rebounds (414, tied 6th), and steals, while also tying program marks for single-game scoring (35 points) and three-pointers in a game (7). Hess earned Offensive MVP honors as a junior and Team MVP as a senior, along with First Team All-Marmonte League, First Team All-Ventura County, Second Team All-CIF, and Ventura County All-Star recognition, and won the All-Star Game Dunk Contest. Hess went on to an outstanding six-year college career, including four years at the Division I level, shooting 42% from three-point range and making 202 career three-pointers while earning both his undergraduate degree and an MBA. He has continued his basketball career professionally overseas in Armenia, Ecuador, and Chile, while also giving back through youth coaching, player development, and mentorship, and pursuing a career in digital marketing.
